The World Cinema Fund (WCF) opened its call for applications for production and post-production funding. Supporting feature-length fiction films, creative documentaries, as well as feature-length animation films, the fund is aimed at filmmakers and producers working across WCF-supported regions.

Funding of up to €60,000 for production and €40,000 for post-production is available through the WCF Classic and WCF Europe programmes. Additionally, one project per year is awarded with the TUI Care Foundation Award of the World Cinema Fund with a support of €40,000.

The goal of World Cinema Fund is to promote high-quality filmmaking in regions with a weak infrastructure for film, while fostering cultural diversity as well as supporting collaborations among European producers and partners in WCF regions and countries. All WCF films completed to date have screened at cinemas and/or in the programmes of renowned festivals. Many have also won significant prizes, proof of the worldwide success of the initiative.
